“Ultimately, I was feeling lost without a purpose. I was diagnosed with breast cancer resulting in 3 operations that included a double mastectomy. My child was suffering from severe depression and anxiety to the point that we had to find help outside of Canada, contributing to emotional and financial upheaval.
